- She’s a Mainiac! Her hometown is Island Falls, Maine—population 900 and decreasing—in the hilly potato farmland of Aroostook County.
- Her husband Victor is also from Maine, is a carpenter and a former Navy SEAL, and loves to tailgate at Notre Dame football games.
- Ran cross county and track at Bowdoin College, and still wants to be a professional athlete when she grows up.
- Always wants coffee and the company of funny people.
- Enjoys arcane archival research about 18th and 19th century American and British women’s rights advocates.
- Loves it when her students stop by to visit her and chat in her office—which is in 436 Decio.
