- Has a strong interest in Southwestern American archaeology and frequently travels to the region to wander through the ruins.
- Also travels every year to see great theater in the USA and Canada (and England and Ireland too, when possible).
- Loves classic American films from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, and has a good collection of American films from that era.
- Is very interested in performing and fine arts. Art history should have been her college major.
- Grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota and became expert at cleaning out barns and midwifing cattle and sheep.
- Is married to David Kessler, a Notre Dame philosophy department Ph.D., who once was Dr. Delaney’s teaching assistant. Has a 16 year old daughter, Emma, who also loves the theater and philosophy, and who is an authority on the William Powell Myrna Loy Thin Man films.
