Invitations to apply

Notre Dame main building in the spring

Admission to the Glynn Program is by invitation only. The first step is to apply to Notre Dame. The program will invite select high school seniors to apply after they are admitted to the University. Candidates must intend to major in the College of Arts and Letters, Science, or Architecture. Applicants will be invited to answer a short sequence of questions by video. The Glynn Program admits approximately 100 students each year.

Mid-year admissions

First-year students at Notre Dame may apply to join the program at midyear. If you are interested in applying for midyear admission, speak with your first-year advisor. Applications are invited in October with decisions released around November 1.

Glynn Scholars and financial aid

Glynn Scholars enjoy the same access to financial aid as other Notre Dame students. In addition, they may apply for Glynn grants to cover travel, attendance at conferences and/or at least one summer of research.

Profile of a Glynn Scholar

Glynn Scholars are intellectually curious, independent thinkers. They are excited to tackle challenging work in both the humanities and the sciences and eager to make their mark with original research. They are self-starters, passionate about learning, and ready to think outside the box. Numbers alone—class rank or standardized test scores—do not qualify students for invitation into the program.
