Alaina is interested in gastrointestinal research, particularly Celiac Disease and IBD, and in understanding how the microbiota and intestinal epithelium contribute to disease mechanisms and advance potential targeted therapies. Beyond the lab, she is passionate about patient advocacy for those living with chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
